Fifty years ago, Lutheran teacher Bob Arnold created a 4m diameter Luther’s Rose in the church garden at Hermannsburg.

After seeking funds and planning for many years, a new Lutheran church at Imanpa was finally opened in the name of the Triune God on Sunday 22 October 2017 by Pastor Robert Borgas.

Pastor Tommy David died at Docker River on Wednesday 29 June 2016. He was a faithful pastor, serving his people right to the end of his life.

Lutheran Community Care worker Wendy-Lea Lechleitner has deep roots in the Lutheran Church so when a position came up for a Money Worker on the ‘Mission Block’, she jumped at the chance.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at Areyonga is a fine example of a strong and proud congregation. On 22 February, the community celebrated the first baptism in their newly renovated church.

On Saturday 7th March 2015, the new church at Tara was officially opened by Finke River Mission Pastor Darryl Mattner and local pastors Christopher Tjanima and Michael Tjapiard.
