Celebrating 10 years of Pastor Marcus’ ministry
On Sunday 26 November, the Hermannsburg congregation celebrated with thanks and praise to God for the blessings of 10 years of faithful ministry from Pastor Marcus Wheeler.
Pastor Marcus was ordained at Hermannsburg on 25 November 2007 by Pastor Mike Semmler, President of the Lutheran Church of Australia at the time.
At the end of the anniversary service, Pastor Marcus and his wife Betty stood up the front while Pastor Rodney Malbunka and Ingkaarta Neville Doecke prayed with thanks to God for his many blessings on Marcus and his family and through Marcus’ ministry.
The congregation enthusiastically sang a favourite Arrarnta hymn chosen by Pastor Marcus, What a Friend We Have in Jesus which was a very moving and emotional experience.
After shaking hands to all who had gathered, Pastor Marcus lit the anniversary candles, photos were taken, and all enjoyed celebrating with a slice of anniversary chocolate cake.
