‘Safe place’ the focus of Kintore teaching course

In July 2023, a Finke River Mission teaching course was held at the community of Kintore/Walungurru, 500 kilometres west of Alice Springs. It was on ‘safe place’ issues and taught by Dave Biar from the Lutheran Church’s Professional Standards Department.

Pillar of church and community: remembering Lindsay Corby

Lindsay Tjapaltjarri Corby was born on 1 May 1954 at Haasts Bluff and ordained as a Lutheran pastor on 22 June 2008. He passed away on 4 February 2022 at Kintore.

At Kintore, church and council chime in

At Kintore the peels of a church bell are once again calling the people to worship on Sunday mornings, after church and community came together on a joint ‘bell-raising’ project.
